Russian and Syrian jets hammered 8 schools in Hama and Idlib injuring many civilians, including children, on September 4 to 10, according to witnesses. According to the Free Idlib Education Directorate, the schools were attacked with cluster munitions and resulted in the injury of six civilians including two pupils.

According to the same source, on September 4, 2018, Russian warplanes targeted a school in al-Badria village and another in al-Jadraya village, causing them partial destruction.
On September 6, both the public and the technical high schools in al-Tamanah city were rendered inoperable by Russian airstrikes, according to the Response Coordinators in Northern Syria.
On 9 September, the Martyr Hussein Qassom School, in Kafr Zita, was destroyed by two barrel bombs, according to Karoum Khalil, a local activist.
In the morning of September 10, Al-Nidal and al-Quds schools, in Jarjanaz, and a school complex in Hish were bombarded, as the media official in the Free Idlib Education Directorate Mostafa Haj Ali stated to STJ.

The Directorate of Education suspended school in Hama western countryside from September 10 to 13 because of the violent attacks.
