In support of youth leadership and enhanced civic participation, Syrians for Truth and Justice (STJ) has joined the Advisory Board of the Youth Voice Network (YOVO), underscoring the organization’s continued commitment to advancing civic initiatives and strengthening the role of young people as active partners in building a society grounded in justice, human rights, the rule of law, and civic participation.

YOVO is a youth platform that empowers young women and men, enhances their participation in public life, strengthens their institutional and leadership capacities, and builds sustainable partnerships that support their role in development and decision-making. From this perspective, STJ believes that supporting such initiatives helps expand spaces for civic participation and strengthens young people’s capacity to address the challenges facing Syrian society through dialogue, civic action, and responsible leadership.

As a member of the Advisory Board, STJ will provide technical and strategic advice to the Network and share its expertise in strategic planning, institutional development, partnership building, and resource mobilization. These efforts will strengthen the Network’s sustainability, support its institutional growth, and help it achieve its long-term objectives.

This cooperation builds on the experience STJ has gained through its various programs, which have consistently sought to engage young people in capacity-building initiatives, civic dialogue, human rights awareness, and efforts to promote community participation. STJ firmly believes that building democratic and sustainable institutions requires the participation of a new generation of civic leaders capable of contributing to efforts toward justice and reform.

Through its membership on the Advisory Board, STJ looks forward to working with the YOVO Network, its members, and its partners to exchange expertise, strengthen collaboration, and support youth-led initiatives. This cooperation will contribute to a more vibrant civic environment and enhance young people’s contributions to efforts related to transitional justice, civic participation, and sustainable development.
