Background:<\/h4>\n

Syrians for Truth and Justice (STJ) started as an idea in a co-founder\u2019s mind while attending the U.S. Middle-East Partnership Initiative\u2018s (MEPI) Leaders for Democracy Fellowship program (LDF) in 2015. The idea became a reality and flourished into an independent, non-profit, impartial, non-governmental human rights organization.<\/p>\n

STJ\u2019s beginnings were more than humble; initially, it only reported stories of Syrians who experienced arbitrary arrest, enforced disappearance, or torture. Planted in fertile soil, the seed of this project grew into an established human rights organization licensed in the Middle East and the European Union. STJ today undertakes to detect and uncover violations of all types committed in all Syrian parts by the various parties to the conflict.<\/p>\n

Project Activities:<\/h4>\n

– Providing sub-grants to local partners (local Syrian organizations).<\/p>\n

– Publishing in-depth reports and investigations on the human rights and justice situation in Syria.<\/p>\n

– Holding workshops and dialogues on the human rights and justice situation in Syria.<\/p>\n

Main responsibilities:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Monitor and guide project activities to meet goals and timelines.<\/li>\n
  2. Develop and manage project plans in collaboration with stakeholders.<\/li>\n
  3. Track progress and address challenges as they arise.<\/li>\n
  4. Foster collaboration with partner organizations.<\/li>\n
  5. Administer distribution of resources for project initiatives.<\/li>\n
  6. Provide assistance and guidance to recipients.<\/li>\n
  7. Ensure compliance and effectiveness of resource utilization.<\/li>\n
  8. Manage project documentation and reporting.<\/li>\n
  9. Maintain accurate records and timely communication.<\/li>\n
  10. Ensure comprehensive documentation of project activities.<\/li>\n
  11. Facilitate educational sessions and workshops.<\/li>\n
  12. Coordinate community engagement events.<\/li>\n
  13. Oversee dissemination of project findings.<\/li>\n
  14. Engage stakeholders in advocacy efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Requirements:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. Bachelor\u2019s degree in international law, international relations, political science, international development, or a related field.<\/li>\n
    2. Minimum of two years\u2019 experience in a similar role in the NGO sector.<\/li>\n
    3. Expertise in managing teams and coordinating between team members from diverse organizations.<\/li>\n
    4. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and excellent in English.<\/li>\n
    5. Ability to travel to Erbil (possessing valid and necessary identification documents).<\/li>\n
    6. Capacity to manage a multi-partner project and ensure consistency in project activities.<\/li>\n
    7. Deep knowledge of the Syrian context and the evolution of the conflict.<\/li>\n
    8. Broad knowledge of local and international laws applied in Syria.<\/li>\n
    9. Ability to work without direct supervision if required.<\/li>\n
    10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
